Introduction

It started with Bill Cosby and now has claimed Harvey Weinstein. Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly...Who will be next?

- Oct. 2017

Why Now?

In the case with Harvey Weinstein, it is curious about the timing. Apparently, this has been going on for decades. Why now? Why did the New York Times publish this article after years of knowing the facts and hiding it.

The same can be said of Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly. The companies they work for have paid millions to silence their accusers over the years. Why is it coming out now? Something have changed in the environment and the culture. It may be the election of Trump or it may be due to the success of some women speaking out. Whatever the circumstance, it is a good thing.

The bad news is for other celebrities and politicians who have been protected all these years. I predict there will be many more to come out.

Advice for Celebrities...

Some famous celebrities like Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio...should learn a lesson from this. Stick to your profession and keep your politics to yourself. We, the people, do not need lectures from you on human rights...and the likes. Your talent as entertainers do not extend to public policies.

Summary

The media, like the New York Times, and others are part of the problem. They have misused their power. By being the biased entity, they have distorted the truth. They were suppose to be the watchdog of the powerful. They used their power and influence and betrayed the trust of their readers.

If another story like this come out tomorrow, you have to wonder, what is the motive behind it? The credibility of the media is at all times low right now. A shake up of the management is called for if they are to regain the trust of the readers.

To all women who have been harrassed, come forward now and face your harassers. The way to put a stop to this behavior is sunlight. It is the best disinfectant.

I like this examination of a sad and strange occurrence. I think that if you take most of this stuff add it altogether and then multiply by amount of celebs and then by say, the last fifty years. The issue is made up. Media dramatizes it so that we think it is common and it ain't.
