Updated on March 13, 2015

Together Through Thick and Thin

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good: Best of friends since they have been children S & B are capable of getting through anything. Although their relationship is rocky throughout the entire series, they always work it out in the end. Fashion designer and It-girl what could be a better pairing? Blair and Serena aren't just friends, they are family after everything they have been through.

The Bad: Although B & S always work things out the rocky passages can get pretty dangerous for everyone involved. The series starts with Blair hating Serena for leaving town without saying good-bye only to reveal that Serena took her boyfriend's (Nate Archibald) virginity.

The Ugly: Blair found it in her heart to forgive Serena for sleeping with her boyfriend, but later in the series, Blair starts to date Dan Humphrey. Dan happens to not only be Serena's ex-boyfriend but also step-brother and the love however complicated of her life. This causes the pair to spiral out of control once again.

Through the entire series the best friends go through a cycle of love, hate, and forgiveness over and over again. In spite of the pair teetering between frenemies and BFF's they work everything out by the end of the series, as they can be seen at each other's wedding.

Always Loyal

During one of their many tiffs Blair gets so angry as to kick Serena our of her house. In the following season Blair is worried about Serena and thinks she might have gone too far this time because S has been gone the entire summer. So out of worry, she gets their group of friends together to find her and bring her home. Even after all of the things both B & S have done to each other, at the end of they day they will always be on the same side and looking out for one another.

Not Just Friends

Throughout the series, Blair and Serena go through a rollercoaster of emotions with both their family and friends. They seem to be the only people who are there for each other no matter what. Despite at times hating each other, they are family, and siblings fight. But at the end of the day they will always be there. When Blair was going through a difficult time with her prince and found out she was pregnant, Serena was there. When Serena was finally seeing the consequences of her actions that resulted in death, Blair was her shoulder to cry on. In life, it is difficult, but necessary to find friends that turn into family. Because sometimes we lose our families for whatever reason. We get stuck with our families, but we can choose our friends.
