Hollywood Charity Horse Show

Dressed in black pants and a black shirt, the poised William Shatner and Executives at Wells Fargo hosted a gifting ceremony breakfast in Studio City at The Six Chow House. "People need help, yet their voices are muted sometimes. I try to help answer their cry for help," Shatner told a crowd of fifty guests.

Once a year, Shatner throws "the best party in town" the Hollywood Charity Horse Show in Burbank to raise money for at least 24 charities. Every penny goes to the charities. "It's in our nature to help people. We are hardwired, yet as we get older and beaten down, we lose some of our empathy," Shatner said.

Priceline.com has been a sponsor for six years now. Shatner has been a spokesman for Priceline.com for over 17 years. He told the crowd he has some new commercials coming out soon.

Shatner enjoys working with another supporter of his philanthropy, Wells Fargo. "Wells Fargo is the second largest corporate donor, just behind Walmart. Last year, Wells Fargo in California gave $29 million to non-profits in Los Angeles," said Shatner. He welcomed Mr. David DiCristofaro, the Regional President of the Greater Los Angeles Region Wells Fargo

Save the Date. April 25, 2015 when REO Speedwagon's Kevin Cronin will perform and Stonefire Grill will cook for over 500 guests and 60 volunteers.

Gifting Ceremony to Charities

The Beginning of Hollywood Charity Horse Show

In the late 1980s, Shatner - an avid horseman, watched a young girl with no arms sit on a horse and ride it with the reins in her toes at a therapeutic riding facility sponsored by AHEAD With Horses. It moved him so much, that in March of 1990 he started this charity to raise money to give back to the organizations that are making a BIG difference to people and children in need. He is very passionate about giving to others.

His annual event is on a Saturday evening each year in April. The HCHS brings together world-class reining horses and riders competing in their respective classes. Afterwards, as the sun sets, everyone enjoys a western-style dinner, silent auction and sit back to hear world-renown talent. Past events headlined Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Lyle Lovett, Willie Nelson and Randy Travis.
