Ara is a journalism graduate from California State University, Northridge, who is always looking to explore his writing opportunities.

Why Write About Yuka Miyazaki?

Yuka Miyazaki is the name of a celebrity that I had not really known about until today February 14, 2018 which is also Valentine’s Day! In this spirit of love and romance, it is only fitting and most appropriate to write about a singer that has announced that she will graduate from Japanese girl group Juice=Juice as well as Hello! Project the huge umbrella name which is like a record label for many Japanese female musical artists. Note: I will not be writing about every aspect of Miyazaki’s career because the goal is to make the article more readable for general audiences.

Yuka Miyazaki Was Not Successful At First Because...

However, for Yuka Miyazaki, success did not come at first. It was in 2011 that she auditioned for the Morning Musume 10th Generation Audition but she did not even make it to the fourth round. And in 2012, she auditioned again this time for Morning Musume’s 11th Generation but she did not pass the audition.

When Did Yuka Miyazaki First Succeed?

In her first taste of success, Miyazaki would make her debut in the sub-unit Green Fields in October 2012. Joining her in this unit would be Aika Mitsui and Saki Shimizu who was a former member of the girl group Berryz Kobo. On October 28, 2012, Green Fields would make their first stage performance as a group during a concert that saw Morning Musume perform as well.

When & How Did Yuka Miyazaki Join Juice=Juice?

In February 2013, it was made public that Miyazaki would be making her debut in what was then a new Hello! Project group called Juice=Juice. Joining her in this group were several girls that were training members and they were Tomoko Kanazawa, Sayuki Takagi, Aina Otsuka, Karin Miyamoto and Akari Uemura.

Miyazaki Got Added to Juice=Juice Because of One Famous Man

Miyazaki also attracted the attention of Morning Musume producer TSUNKU who commented about Miyazaki saying: “Although she's not part of the current kenshuusei roster, she was one of the finalist in the 10th generation Morning Musume audition and the S/mileage new members recruitment. She's currently a part of the SATOYAMA movement unit GREEN FIELDS and after seeing her accomplishments there I decided to add her in this new group,” (TSUNKU, 2013).

Yuka Miyazaki Assumes a Leadership Position

It would be on June 13, 2013 that Miyazaki would be named the leader of Juice=Juice. So for those two times that she failed to pass the auditions to join Morning Musume, those two losses did not deter her drive and ambition and TSUNKU decided that her past accomplishments were worthy enough that she should become the leader of another group.

Yuka Miyazaki The Fashion Model

On February 9, 2016, Miyazaki would end up injuring the ACL in her right foot and this injury would reduce her performance capabilities as she was confined to a chair for three weeks. Exactly one year later on February 9, 2017, Miyazaki would end up making an appearance as a model in Evelyn. In 2018, she would do modeling work for the magazine once again, this time appearing with Maria Makino of Morning Musume 19.

Yuka Miyazaki & Her Graduation Plans: A Perspective

It was in December 2018 that Miyazaki announced her intention to graduate from Jiuce=Juice and Hello! Project. One year prior to the announcement. Miyazaki revealed that she was thinking about her life and she was shining because of being in Juice=Juice but she wanted to look for something larger than that and that goal is to shine as one person as she put it. Miyazaki also said that she wanted to leave at age 25 to focus on other things. On February 13, 2018 Juice=Juice held a release even for their triple A-Side single called "Bitansan / Potsuri to / Good bye & Good luck!" in the city of Tokyo. As for the details of her graduation, Miyazaki will be graduating after the group’s LIVE performance in the venue called Nippon Budokan which Miyazaki describes as a really big place and an unforgettable place for the group. She is happy to know that this will be the last place that she will perform before she leaves. Several people including the mentioned Sayuki Takagi and Nanami Yanagawa made a toast with bubbly fancy juice that had some carbonation in it. The single will be the first and last with eight girls. Yanagawa who will also be graduating from the group and Hello! Project on March 11th offered her thoughts saying: "It's my last one, but I hope to enjoy things like this release event as usual with a smile,." (Oricon, 2019). With that said, who really is Yuka Miyazaki?
