Several weeks ago I wrote a hub about how I was totally ripped off by the auction site

Z Biddy.

I was hoping my hub would pop up on Google and warn some people away from the site.

To recap, I got on the sight because I was sucked in by a beautiful red blender. But I was immediately notified that I had insufficient credit, so I quickly got off the site. ( Still not sure how much credit you need for a blender) A month later I had a charge on my credit card for $99.00 from Zbiddy.

So, let me see, I had insufficient credit for a blender being auctioned at $2.00, but $99.00 for nuthin was cool.

Well, this old broad went to work searching out the location of Z biddy, then I wrote to three District Attorneys in three different districts of Florida and gave them an exact accounting of my sad story with Z biddy. You do stuff like this when you are retired and have a lot of time on your hands.

Eureka! I heard from all of them!

They sent forms to complete and questions to answer. I diligently filled out all the forms and answered all the questions. I mailed everything back with a photocopy of my bank account statement which showed a debit to Z Biddy in the amount of $99.00. This exact amount seems to be the rip-off-du-jour at Z Biddy.

Then I forgot about it. I mean who hears back from these kinds of complaints?

Ta Da!

Today I got a check from the State of Florida, Department of Financial Services in the amount of $99.00.

The state of Florida aggressively went after Z Biddy, based on my and other ripped off folk’s complaints, actually recovered the money.

You go Florida, you rock.

I love fraud enforcement.

Congratulations - It is because of people like you taking the time and effort to "take on" these scam operations that there are not more of them.

It is these type of sleezy operations that make it more difficult for honest internet enterprises to survive. Your efforts are appreciated and I am happy it ended well for you.
