Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman is an actress, model and singer from the US. She was born on 1 September 1996 in Oakland, California to Claire Marie Stoermer and Samuel David Coleman (also called Kazembe Ajamu). The young actress is the only child to Stoermer and Coleman, but her father has five more children from a previous relationship.

The name “Zendaya” was derived from the Shona name for giving thanks, “Tendai”, and is pronounced as “Zen-day-uh. While her parents are currently divorced, Zendaya keeps a close relationship with both of them. Additionally, she has been spotted multiple times with members of her large family at prestigious events.

Zendaya began her career in the limelight at a very young age as a model and back-up dancer. Eventually, she started to act and is well-known for her role in “Euphoria”, “K.C. Under Cover” and “Spider-Man Homecoming”, and many other TV shows and films.

Dancing with the Stars is a dance competition TV series that debuted on 1 June 2005. It is the American version of the English series Strictly Come Dancing. Zendaya participated on the sixteenth season of the show at just 16 years of age. All through the season, the talented dancer and her partner, Valentin, received praise from the judges and the highest scores. However, on the final episode, the duo was placed at the runner-up position.

4. “Zapped”

Zapped is a 2014 television movie created for Disney Channel. It stars Zendaya as “Zoey Stevens”, Chanelle Peloso as “Rachel”, Emilia McCarthy as “Taylor”, and Spencer Boldman as “Jackson”. The premiere of Zapped amassed 5.7 million views, which made it the most-viewed broadcast on TV that night.

5. “K.C. Undercover”

Dune is a Science Fiction, Adventure film that is set for release in November 2020. Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides) is the main character, and Zendaya appears as “Chani”, Atreides’ love interest. The movie is an international co-production of Canada, Hungary, the US, and the UK, and covers the first half of the eponymous 1965 novel by Frank Herbert.

In collaboration with American singer Chris Brown, Zendaya graced her fans with another exciting single in 2016 called “Something New”. While Zendaya uploaded a lyric video for the track, its official music video is still unreleased. Nevertheless, “Something New” was able to appear on the US Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Mainstream Top 40, and Rhythmic charts.

5. “Rewrite the Stars”
