Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman is an actress, model and singer from the US. She was born on 1 September 1996 in Oakland, California to Claire Marie Stoermer and Samuel David Coleman (also called Kazembe Ajamu). The young actress is the only child to Stoermer and Coleman, but her father has five more children from a previous relationship.

The name “Zendaya” was derived from the Shona name for giving thanks, “Tendai”, and is pronounced as “Zen-day-uh. While her parents are currently divorced, Zendaya keeps a close relationship with both of them. Additionally, she has been spotted multiple times with members of her large family at prestigious events.

Zendaya began her career in the limelight at a very young age as a model and back-up dancer. Eventually, she started to act and is well-known for her role in “Euphoria”, “K.C. Under Cover” and “Spider-Man Homecoming”, and many other TV shows and films.
