My Favourite A-Team Memorabilia
The A Team
A classic Saturday teatime tv program of the 1980s, The A-Team ran for five seasons between 1983 and 1987. Starring Mr T, George Peppard, Dwight Schultz and Dirk Benedict, the show was a perfect mixture of action and comedy, and the fact that people rarely got shot (despite the huge amounts of bullets flying everywhere) meant it remained an excellent show for the whole family.
I used to love the A-Team as a child and watched it regularly on British television in the late 80s/early 90s. I had an A-Team duvet and even a small plastic tent shaped like the van (unfortunately it broke a long time ago and must have ended up in the bin). I got back into the show about fifteen years ago watching repeats on U.K. Gold and have remained a huge fan since. Once I discovered eBay, I started bidding on items such as the annuals, mugs, t-shirts and even a pillowcase to go with my duvet cover (not sure why I never had a pillow case with mine).
In this article I have put together links to A-Team memorabilia, both classic and new, which can be found on Amazon and eBay. Enjoy.

I never get bored of this video. It instantly takes me back to my childhood.
Basic outline of an A-Team episode
So what was the A-Team about? Basically the episode would start with the A-Team being hired by somebody in trouble (or occasionally stumbling upon a problem situation) and the team using numerous methods to ensure the hirer wasn't involved with the army or government. The A-Team were usually hired by people representing a small company e.g. taxi firm, restaurant, soda factory etc, who were being threatened by a bigger firm or some gangster who wanted to get his hands on their land. The A-Team would then take the job and get into a fight with the bad guys to make them aware of their presence. Hannibal would then come up with a plan and the bad guys would be sent running.
The plots often involved the team beng captured by the bad guys, locked in a room which conveniently contained a lot of scrap metal and some welding equipment and then building a tank/lorry/aeroplane to enable their escape.
Each episode would also involve Murdoch putting on a particular character or having a particular obsession for the episode, BA threatening Murdoch over said obsession, a bad guy's car sailing through the air after hitting a grenade or another vehicle and Face turning on the charm to scam something the team needs.
Favourite member of the A-Team
Everybody has a favourite member of the A-Team. Maybe it's the super tough B.A. or is it Hannibal, the man with the plan? Maybe you prefer Murdock's zany antics or perhaps suave conman Face is your favourite. Whichever it is, make sure to vote in the poll.
By the way, my favourite is Murdock.

The A-Team items on eBay
I was at university when I first discovered eBay and I quickly became hooked. I think my housemates eventually stopped looking at the label when parcels appeared at the door; they just assumed it would be for me.
The majority of items I bought were A-Team related. Some were original merchandise from the time such as the annuals, paperback books, pillow case etc. and some were new items mad in memory of the A-Team such as t-shirts or a mug.
Anyway, eBay is a great place to look if you are interested in collecting memorabilia. I have put together some ideas on this lens, but there is a lot more out there to be found.
The A-Team annuals
There were 5 A-Team annuals published between 1985-1988 and 1991. They are all a great read for any A-Team fans and can be found for a decent price on eBay. They all contain original storylines not featured in the show, some in written form, some in comic strip, along with pictures of the characters and the van.
Did you know?
There were 97 episodes of The A-Team made (counting parts 1 and 2 of certain storylines as separate episodes).
