Normally crocodiles eat fish, birds, mammals and occasionally smaller crocodiles.

Crocodiles are ambush hunters, they wait for there pray to pass by. Crocodiles can survive long periods without food. This because they are cold blooded and have a very slow metabolism. Although they look very slow and lazy, crocodiles can speed up to a 17 km/h (11 mph).

Crocodiles are protected in the wild, but they also are farmed for commercially use. In Australia for instance you can order crocodile in some restaurants. And everybody knows the famous crocodile leather used for shoes, wrist watches bands and handbags. These are not from wild animals.
