The problem I have with FOX is you can't call yourself "Fair and Balanced" - your viewers have to decide that for themselves. Just like CNN can't call itself "The Most Trusted Name in News." Your viewers decide and it is not measureable.
Both of these channels too often make themselves (their reporters) part of the news. They are not. If they are getting shot at - it's not news - that's their job. Maybe if somebody gets killed it's worthy of a comment at the end of the broadcast - otherwise, reporters doing their jobs is not news.
And all broadcasters are guilty of asking a 100-word question, leaving the interviewee only seconds to answer. It's like they only want to hear a Yes or No to their very prejudicial question. In newspapers there is a rule that your lede paragraph should not be more than 35 words. Somebody should institute that rule for questions by broadcasters.
My biggest pet pieve though, is when a reporter asks someone, "Don't you feel (anything - sad, discouraged, thrilled, whatever)?" instead of simply asking, "How do you feel?" Don't put words in their mouths - let them speak for themselves.
The question was about FOX, right? Sorry.
