    Do you believe certain childrens programming is more harmful than helpful?

    Programs that appeal to 6 month -2 year old age group. Yo Gabba Gabba, Teletubbies, Doodlebops.

    This is a topic of much debate in my household. I personally feel that MOST childrens programming is terrible.
    For my daughters there are only a handful of shows that I let them watch (when we had cable) and they included;

    Sid the science kid
    Sesame street
    Bob the builder
    Dora/diego
    Super Y

    There were probably a couple more, but that's all I can think of.

    I have to agree with you and as much as I hate to admit it, my daughter loves Barney. I let her watch it because it is teaching her how to count, ABC's and how to interact. I find that most programs, like yo gabba gabba, have absolutely NO point to them. They do not teach anything, and the shows are just a bunch of dancing around with characters that you can barely understand. I feel that shows like this will only harm children and hinder their learning but that is just me..
