Is it better to have pictures with your hubs? I get frustrated trying to find appropriate photos.
Its hard for me to find photos that are free for some of the hubs I write. I spend more time looking for the right pictures.
I tend to overdo it on pictures, but I think they add so much to it. Have you tried flickr? I have a hub about using flickr photos. Cloverleaf has a hub that discusses several other sources for photos.
Yes , they make your hub come alive and more enjoyable for the viewer . When hub hopping I always suggest photos if there are none there .
I take most of my own where possible otherwise I google " free photo of dog " or whatever it is I need at the time .
Why not when you have some spare time set aside a couple of hours to dowload photos for a few hubs you have in mind .
My hubs on crocodiles wouldn't be the same without a picture of Rodney here !
There are some hubs about free photos .
You don't have to make the picture of yourself, just one you enjoy. I used to have my picture on mine, but I got sick of looking at all the little pictures of myself. I was writing about a narcissist at the time, and I felt like that was a little counterproductive to have all those pictures of myself on the profile page.
Yes it is very important to find decent relevant and legal pictures for your hubs. Sometimes finding a good picture takes a long time, but it is worth the effort. Pictures make a hub much easier to read and increases the quality of your content. Nobody likes to come to a "wall of text."
I agree it is difficult to find pictures for certain Hubs. With my last Hub I was able to use digital pictures that I had taken on a recent trip. That extra personal touch made me appreciate the Hub even more.
Try taking your own photographs as photos do add to the quality of your hubs. However, you really need only one per hub if it is not a photo gallery entry.
I tend to go for morguefile. They have a ton of stuff, but if I can't find what I'm looking for there I just search other royalty free sites.
Photos are always important for your hubs, as people nature is to look for the photos within an article whish make it more rich content and multimedia, I think it also increase your hub score. but you don't need to make these photos you just need to search for exact or relative photos for your topic.
It sure is, try photobucket or just type royalty free photos. You'll find a ton of good stuff for free. Nothing better than you own though. Good luck!!
Yes, including at least one picture is best. And yes, I have the same problem sometimes. What works for me is to do a little free-association. If there is no perfect picture, ask yourself: What picture does your hub remind you of? Then go to Wikipedia.
I wrote a hub about a strength-training exercise of my own invention for the upper legs. I knew that I'd never find the right picture on the Internet. And I'm not particularly photogenic; so I didn't want to ask a friend to immortalize me, while demonstrating this particular exercise.
My solution: A photo of a Gorilla from the Wikipedia article. Everyone enjoys pictures of animals. :-)

When our hubs were once chosen, we had a way to see what was supposed to be fixed before it appeared on a niche site. Now I don't see anything like that. It could be me, but there was a way to see what they wanted added or deleted. It's very frustrating. Yesterday I was told my hub on Zeus, the...

Lately as I hubhop, I am finding lots of photo only hubs. Are these considered low quality? It would seem that hubs need to have text of some kind besides a title. I started out flagging them as low quality, but I don't want to put moderators to extra work if these are considered acceptable. What do...
