I don't know a thing about Fl Studio, but I can tell you this:
I'm 70 now and since I was a kid I've been playing guitar, drums, and a little keyboard. The best and only way to learn music is by playing it. Playing it with other musicians is also a must. If your just starting, and you have an instrument that's not a tuba or a French horrn, get with other players and choose music you can understand like 50's stuff. Music that's easy to play along with and learn as you go. You'll get good quickly and you'll have the best times you couldn't buy with a billion dollars.
Then again, if you get a chance to go to Juliard....GO.
