How big does a piece of paper need to be in order to be fold in half 8 times?

There is a myth that says no one can fold a piece of paper in half more that seven times. I tried it and seems to be impossible, however, I know is not because smaller pieces of paper become thicker as you fold them, meaning bigger pieces of paper are thinner and the thin you folds are, the more folds you can do.
