My favorite Last Episode of a television show that I watched was Sex in The City.  I absolutely loved the way it ended.  Carrie and Big finally together after six years, Carrie moving back to New York, surprising her friends.  It couldn't have ended better.

I thought the end of House was pretty amazing but there have been so many wonderful shows over the years. Another one that comes to mind was Friends.

For me it was the series finale of MONK. It answered every question and, most importantly, Monk finally caught a break.

I have seen many series finales, and most of them are not satisfying. After a while the shows have lost their way and thus their appeal. The shows that I have found gratifying have been shows that have had a short run. I would have to say that I liked the finales of Arrested Development, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Buffy, and although the "finale" was made into a movie, Firefly!!!

I loved and hated the last episode of Seinfeld. It was a great show and I get the irony of the situation. It was like they were going to continue to live their perfectly dysfunctional lives. But, they were stuck in a jail cell.... I wanted Elaine and Jerry to get together or something...lol

Liked it, but not as much as the series itself...

I agree with you morningglory24!  It was a great episode but ending in jail was ridiculous.

Although I don't watch much T.V., I did like "Friends", but I didn't watch it regularly, but I did happen to see the last episode and loved it, because all of the friends were going their separate ways and it was really touching because they were all going to miss each other so much.

The last episode of the Newhart show, which recreated the bedroom and used the actress from the previous Bob Newhart show was a classic.

The last show of Third Watch (I know I am old) was great because it tied up every loose end.

The finale of the Mary Tyler Moore show has to be in that list.
