Should Roxy Music be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?

With a recording career spanning 11 years from 1971 to 1982, Roxy Music had a profound influence on bands like Sex Pistols, Duran Duran, Siouxsie and the Banshees, U2, Chic, and Talking Heads. Original Roxy Music member Brian Eno has become one of the most sought-after producers in rock. Although they never had much sales or radio success in America until the Avalon album, their influence is inescapable throughout post-1975 rock music.

Mostly worthy recipients, but I'd place Roxy Music's influence higher than the other groups you cited. Just saw a documentary with members of Sex Pistols, Duran Duran, Chic, and Siouxsie and the Banshees talking about Roxy's influence.

Brian Eno as producer of U2, Talking Heads, Devo, and others-- plus his role as an artist in his own right-- never would have happened without his early involvement in Roxy Music. See this video for an overview of Roxy's career and influences: http
