What is it that draws people to zombies in pop culture?
Why do you feel people are drawn to zombies in today's society?
Nooooooo! That's what draws zombies to today's society. Unfortunately, the poor things have a tendency to starve to death on the brains they might gather from reality viewers who are zombies in their own right.
People are drawn into Zombies, because when you think about it Zombies are humans who have been manipulated. People always worry if their friends, family members, etc, will be turned into them. In summary, zombies ARE humans. Also people are drawn in to zombies, because of the scientific component of them. There could possibly be some disease that can turn humans into man-eating psychos. That's why when people see zombies in pop culture, they ponder if it could really happen. Hopefully I answered your question to your liking. I write about scary movies and other useful things, so please follow me. I will be following you. Thanks!
I'm not totally sure, but there certainly is a fascination level with zombies. One thing that I do know for sure is that certain hub page moderators have a problem with zombie questions. I've written several in the past, just to return later and find that they were all removed by a moderator. Example - Do zombies eat dog brains? I never found out, but I do wish you all the luck with your question. Keep on hubbing
To answer the question you have always wanted to ask, I do believe that zombies would eat dog's brains as a light snack.
Thanks to movies such as Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead, zombies have made it to classic monster status. The novel Dead Beat by Jim Butcher might also have helped. Just for fun there's Discworld zombie lore by Terry Pratchett which is clever. Can you imagine a zombie lawyer who has been around, like, forever so knows the law very well. He can easily quote precedent because he was there at the time it was inacted. Or how about a politically correct zombie who objects to people being struck off the election roll simply because they are dead. Then imagine him going to a cemetary to rally support with the battle cry: "You don't have to take it lying down."
For me, it's the fact that zombies are us, but not like us. They're an enemy that can't think beyond food. They don't get tired, they don't get sick and they never stop coming. I can't think of many things worse than being turned into a zombie. Except maybe a zombie being turned into Chuck Norris. How do you stop that?
everyone knows the chuck norris thing is a lie, zombies would never get that close to Chuck Norris
Because most people drawn to them finally found someone or something they can relate to. Someone more like themselves. They now don't feel so alone.

What makes a great zombie story?I'm a big zombie fan and I've read books and seen movies/shows that were fantastic but others that were just awful. What do you think makes a zombie book/movie/show good?

Here are the rules. You get one choice, and one choice only. Dead or alive, real or fictional (as long as the fictional character is well known.) Choose wisely!P.S. Jesus isn't an option. Jesus is already a zombie!
