I saw "The Hobbit' last night in 48fps or HFR(HIgh Frame Rate) since Peter Jackson shot this film with the new technology. At first I didn't like the HFR as it looked like the "Soap Opera" effect you get when you watch a movie or TV show on a really good HDTV which has that feature. The other thing I didn't like about it it was that in some scenes it looked sped up when the characters moved. It did look good for certain scenes like the scenic scenes of the valleys of Middle Earth(New Zealand). For those who have seen it in HFR, what did you think of it?

I thought it was pretty good only for the external shots. All the CGI in the HFR looked a little to CGI for my taste. It may get better later in the future. I'm thinking it's gonna take someone like James Cameron to really perfect it.
