Does watching TV relieve stress or adds to stress? What is the medical opinion on it? In my opinion, watching TV after a day's hard work relieves stress.

But Freddy you may still need to know what is happening in the world even if it does stress you out.
Yes but most of the news does not and will never effect me. I don't watch the news either. It's either depressing as hell, like another school shooting, or it's totally irrelevant like such and such is pregnant or given birth...
Lauryallan, you never know what is around the corner or what will affect you. Sometimes warnings about computer viruses are on the news. You use a computer.
"Reality" shows make me want to throw something at the screen to make the dumb bastards go away. I don't want to watch shows about stupid people who will eat anything or fat people likely to be buried in piano cases rather than coffins.
Rarely will I watch reality TV, although it can be funny to see how dumb some people are... I prefer shows where I have to figure out what the underlying plot is...
Same here, Lauryallan. Unfortunately on commercial television you can't escape the ads for 'reality' junk.
Lol another reason to watch tv online... with an ad blocker.
I agree. One hour of news a day is a good diet.
Amen as far as idiot "reality" shows are concerned. They are cheap and the dumbness of them stresses me out. Love the cricket and Big Bang Theory.
