Mine was probably Stan Lee's Who Wants to be a Superhero. It was incredibly cheesy but most of the challenges were about rewarding heroic behavior, rather than the traditional cut-throat tactics of other reality shows. My runner up would have to be Ru Paul's Drag Race. Behind the shows layers of makeup and drama, there are real stories of hardship and triumph from the LGBT community. It can floor you when you least expect it. Plus, some of those guys are amazingly talented as they have to master fashion design, makeup and performance in order to make a lasting impression.
