I recently wrote a hub about my favorite top twenty movies and received a lot of comments. This is my poll to see what Hubbers top movies might be but due to space and trying to pin down the answers I am limiting you to five.
sort by best latest
I know it is difficult and appreciate your answer! I'm going to gather them all and see how many "common films there are". Thanks Jan.
You've got me! I've never heard of any of them. My list of movies to watch is getting longer and longer! Thanks narchuleta.
Thanks junkseller. It is so interesting to see what other people like. I will have to look for Another Earth.
Thanks Nate. I know its hard to narrow it down to five!
Oh I like that DzyMsLizzy, it may be cheating but its a good way to get those movies on a list of only five!
Thanks Joan. Always good to see you and seeing your favorites...good choices!
Good choices. Shawshank Redepmtion was great!
I know how you feel Laura there is just such a plethora of great movies!
I know, that's why I asked the question because it is so hard to choose!
What a great comment! Not only did you list your movies but you gave a brief synopsis! Thanks so much.
I agree with tillsontitan - this is indeed a great comment!
Thanks! I like to give reasons for my opinions and back up my choices but I know sometimes I tend to ramble!
OH Dear!!! CORRECTION!! I did not mean "Bachelor Party!".........I meant "THE HANGOVER"........I suppose one causes the other, but I had to clarify this. I loved "THE HANGOVER." I don't even know if there is a movie called "Bachelor Party!"
Love your choices Effer...Hmm, you want a movie that either makes you laugh or makes you cry ;) Sounds familiar.
Tillie.....LOL! Yeah.....laugh or cry...you're right! Two emotions I know best and can handle. I don't want movies that SCARE me, CONFUSE me (& we know how easy that is!) or put me to sleep. As for "laughter," the "Hangover," nearly did me
Have you seen "Hangover II"....three is now out you know.
I have not seen II and III.....as always, I'm months behind the pack. Besides, I need to rest up b4 watching. If II & III are even close to as hilarious as the first......I may have to be hospitalized. :)
Bachelor party with Tom Hanks. Very funny but his more serious ones are better like Saving PVT Ryan and Green Mile
Not only is your list impressive Mickey, but your explanations are too! Maybe you should be writing movie hubs instead of me ;)
Thanks Get Thin, I just love seeing everyone's favorites.
I still haven't seen Notebook but it is near the very top of my list.
Good choices. Les Mis was marvelous.
The first two you listed are embbeded in my heart! Great stars and lots of love in them. Vacation is a true classic!
That's so true byshea...I think our mood and new movies affect our choices.
Interesting choices jobs, thank you for answering.
Interesting choices but anything with DeNiro has to be good! Thanks German.

Oooh, good ones. I forgot about Arsenic and Old Lace, a really great classic!
I've never (and still to this day never do) laughed so hard in my life. And I was only 13 the first time I saw it.
It was hilarious and Cary Grant was certainly at the top of his game in it!
