Who or what defines the word "resilience" to you?


The definition of resilience is " the ability to recover readily from illness, depression, adversity, or the like." Many people, teams, cities and countries have their own stories of resilience in the face of crisis. Which are the most remarkable to you?

    A true statement. Single parents deserve medals for what they go through and accomplish. I was very fortunate to have both, though they got divorced twice. It is a task not everyone can handle.

    Well put. It's not only that we've endured so much strife in our time, it's that we've done it without losing the basic core of values we hold most dear.

    This is why I believe the men in the trenches of World War I were nothing short of superheroes. They, more than any armies in history, had to watch that carnage in the mud and rain of France. Yet they still did their jobs.
