March music is correct. I recall seeing a American movie which came out in the 1950s which featured a good many of his marching tunes played by big, marching bands. Can't recall the name of the star now, but he was quite famous and starred also with Barbara Stanwyk in the 1949 version of the film Titanic.
"seventy-six trumbones let the big parade, with a hundred-and-four cornets close behind..." Still recall those words. If you Google Titanic film 1949 you'll probably get the name of the actor and, from there, could perhaps dig out the name of the film.
