So called "hair metal" bands were everywhere in the late 80s. Some were good, a lot of em sucked. Which band was your favorite? I've got to go with Cinderella. Their stuff has held up a lot better than many of their contemporaries' material, esp. their "Long Cold Winter" album (1988).

Coincidentally I gave up on Def Leppard and the Crue after those same two albums, haha. At that time my tastes were heading towards heavier fare and those two bands weren't cutting it for me anymore.
Ha! Yeah they seemed to become more pop after those albums.
Yep, and once I heard Metallica's "Kill Em All," there was no going back. Everything else sounded too wimpy. Haha!
I'm more of a Megadeth guy XD but I still can find time to enjoy Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and other "wimpy" bands hehehe!
Nowadays I'm mostly Team Megadeth myself, haha. But early Metallica was a game changer.
I just listened to Motley's "Too Fast For Love" earlier today.
Yay, another Cinderella fan. I salute your good taste. :D

Stryper put out a new CD last year called "No More Hell to Pay," their best work in a long time IMO
I know, but for some reason, I haven't gotten around to it. Actually, the last one I heard was Reborn, which was in 2005. They have released 2-3 other albums and I don't know why I haven't listened to them.
Reborn was pretty bad, but the rest of their new material since then has been quite good.
Yeah, I think that other than 2-3 songs, Reborn didn't quite stick. I'll have to check the rest of their new material.
