Is the comedy called "Black Jesus" on AdultSwim is an offensive or funny idea?
I am not familiar with the show that you have mentioned. But, no one can say that Jesus is a Caucasian, black, brown, red, etc. He was from the middle east so I am sure he had brown skin as most people from that area have.
I saw a commercial for this comedy and it did make me giggle but I don't like another show by that creator and won't watch this either. You raise an excellent point about Jesus' appearance as well, burnished bronze feet, hair white like wool, etc.

For some reason, I don't mind it if I knew I was going to a show or watching a show that will have racial and ethnic jokes. However, if it's something out of the blue or caught me off guarded I may find myself offended by it.I ask this because I was watching George Lopez's Lopez Tonight's premiere...

Why has the level of comedians stoop to an all time low?It seems that comedians have to use profanity and lots of sex to make people laugh. What happened to the double entendre in comedy?
