Hub is gaining a lot of attention in my house. My the girls and my little boy both love Transformers. For very young children I would recommend "Dora the Explorer". Also, "Mr. Rogers" is great. I know that one of the few ways to get them to shut the hell up for 20 minutes was to put on an "Invader Zim" episode with Gir the Robot. They all loved Gir, and that was a cute show. I think that I have about 40 different Girs around this house.
My son is big into SpiderMan, Punisher and IronMan- the girls are huge into Wonder Woman, BatMan, Sailor Moon. Do not give them the DVD unless you are willing to watch it 30,000 times a day.
When they were really little we tried to make sure that most of what they were watching was educational. Sesame Street was constantly on, we watched a lot of Grimm's Fairytales, we still watch a lot of Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
For some reason, Cammy doesn't like Disney. He says that it's to feminized. That there are to many princesses.
Really, what I think that a lot of parents miss with TV and other media is this: It doesn't matter what you're watching, as long as you're watching it together. TV is not a babysitter, it's a means to bonding. Interact with your children, better yet, play with them, don't just sit and watch TV.
Hope this helps, these are what my kids liked, your kids will probably like different things. It's all about your individual child. Thank god for Hulu!
