Personally I hate the ads that claim things that are intangible, not substantiated with factual information, aiming at playing with the audience's heuristics. I don;t think I purchase after repeated ads but my survey based research has found information to support the idea that a section of the tv audience does buy stuff when bombarded repeatedly.
