Does Caitlyn Jenner deserve the ESPY award for courage over Lauren Hill?

Caitlyn Jenner introduced herself to the world at the beginning of June. After hundreds of plastic surgeries, and a sex change operation, Bruce Jenner became 'her true self' and is now a woman. The ESPY awards are given to people who showed tremendous courage (usually athletes, but not always). This year they chose Caitlyn Jenner, even though she had elective surgery. Lauren Hill played college basketball this past year which was her dream before she died of inoperable brain cancer. Who is more deserving of this award?

You are entitled to your opinion and I think I agree with you. I think Lauren Hill was much more courageous and touching.

An ESPY Award (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) is an accolade presented by ESPN to recognize individual and team athletic achievement- it can and has been given posthumorously.

    Hi Aime,

I advocate gay rights. I have total respect for the LGBT community. I do hope that Caitlyn decides to donate some of the money she'll receive from her new reality show to the LGBT so that others will be able to gain from her experience.
