Absolutely! I could get people to pay me not to do either, too. My mother had a beautiful singing voice, clear, resonant, heartbreakingly beautiful, with which she made our church weep with joy every Sunday. To everyone's disappointment, she didn't pass it on to any of her kids. My father played a fairly competent piano. After three years of professional lessons and much enforced parental practice, I have yet to play a recognizable version of Chopsticks. My son has a lovely voice. He had a couple of guitar lessons, then mostly taught himself. He is great at a lot of other stuff too, though. I think on my side of the family, natural talent, in general, just skipped a generation. All my brothers and my sister worked very hard in life for every coin and every bit of dignity we have achieved.
