    Do you think tv soap operas are going to be non existent soon?

    Soap Operas are becoming more and more senseless, the same story lines, the same faces, i think they're going to disappear real soon.

    If we're all lucky they will be.  I'm not sure about the more and more senseless bit, by saying that you are implying that there has been a time when they weren't as senseless as now.

    They have been around since 1954 I believe, and as long as tv exists or some kind of video they will be.

    I think they will be around for a long time. I think for some people a soap opera is the reality of their life. Take a good look at what is really going on in the shows. (drama, issues, backstabbing, lies, cheating, marriage, divorce, bad times and of course good times, with all of the people, there are alot of memories).

    Soap operas are as old as soaps and will continue as long as soaps exist. My theory: soap burns eyes and brings tears. As long as women can shed tears, soap operas too will exist!
