AshBoo: Sarah and Bamboo

Updated on August 10, 2013

The New Duet in this Generation

People of today are easily inclined to the new emerge duet in the Philippines. They spot the version of Sarah and Bamboo of Just Give Me A Reason which is a viral video in YouTube. I will post the said video here later and provide my comments.

Anyway, I know the first thing that puzzles you is where the name AshBoo came from. You will know why it was called that way on this article too.

Sarah Geronimo is very popular not only to youth but also in all kinds of age bracket. And Bamboo (his surname is Mañalac), on the other hand, is well-known to rockers and rockstar people. When you combine their voice, the result is clear and vivid. Just watch their performance.

The Video I Am Referring - Bamboo and Sarah sung Just Give Me A Reason

Don't want to put some texts here as I want you to concentrate on watching

Bamboo Sounds the Same as Pink's Partner

Do you agree?

I read some of the people's comment that Kawayan sounds the same as Pink's partner. In other words, he nailed the song very well and gave justice. Others claimed that he sung it better. Whatever their opinions after watching the video, his voice is unique that's why he is deserved to be one of the coaches of The Voice of the Philippines.

Let's see what I can say to Sarah's interpretation to the song since it's pretty obvious that I am a fan. But I will try my best not to be bias here.

What About Sarah Geronimo?

Does she sound like Pink?

I don't want to say or mention this, as being a fan, it hurts for us to read some negative comments towards our idol, it's obvious that other people commented that they were not satisfied on how Sarah sung the song. I don't blame them esp. with how Bamboo did his part. But in my opinion, what made Sarah stand out on every songs and performances she does is how she interprets, performs and owns the song. She knows how to capture peoples' hearts. And the secret, I think, is this: singing out with feelings/emotion and performing with passion.

We can't please everybody and it's normal for every people to have detractors who track all our actions.

Other Performances of AshBoo - To satisfy your hunger for them

I know up to now, you're still wanting more and not contented on just 1 video, that's why I have some here for you.

Let's give them a round of applause.

Before We Forget to Fulfill My Promise

Where in the world AshBoo came from?

It's weird and strange for others where in the world we got their coined name or rather a combination of their names. The Ash part is so confusing as we can't determine and verify if it's part of Sarah's name, but the Boo is obviously came from Kawayan's first name. Anyway, this is not the first time that this happened as fans and supporters commonly clipped it with other celebrity. Remember, we have the famous AshLloyd, the used to be lovable AshRald and others that are worth mentioning too.

Ash comes from Sarah's second name which is Asher. That's where we got this that most of people do not know.

I guess I fulfilled my promise and answered your question.

Feel Free to Cast Your Vote

Sarah Geronimo knows when to sing high or low and adjust when to the voice range of her duet partner.

Do you think that that is how should the singer behave?
