Pandora the Book - Can't get enough of Pandora trivia?
The beginning of a cult classic.
In Avatar: A Confidential Report on the Biological and Social History of Pandora we are introduced to Pandora—a pristine and beautiful moon in a distant solar system—its exotic ecosystems, and the indigenous race called the Na'vi. By piecing together photographs, scientific field notes, and research data, citizens on Earth have collected the information in this field guide as a way to highlight the lessons Pandora can teach the people of Earth, who have struggled to survive as their planet's critical resources are depleted.
Though Pandora has proven to be an exceedingly profitable source of natural resources, the environment—from its gravity-defying floating mountains to the small but venomous hellfire wasps and the gigantic carnivorous thanator—poses continual dangers to RDA. Catalogued with unparalleled precision and access, this field guide provides highly detailed descriptions of the unique creatures and plants found on Pandora, the culture, language, and physiology of the native population, as well as RDA technology and weapons.
Eager to save the Earth, the activists have culled this information in hopes to expose the corporate greed and disregard for the native inhabitants and their environment that governs RDA's presence on the foreign moon.
This is the evidence in their case to save Pandora—and themselves.
Global Warming Proponents will love Avatar - Avatar gives us one potential outcome with our current path of global destruction
Without being too preachy, the movie explores what happens when Earth continues its current path of global destruction in the name of greed. This photo is of the "Hometree" where the Na'vi live in reverence and balance with nature.
A linguistic professor was hired to create a whole new language for this film.

James Cameron talked extensively with the video gamers to develop gaming concepts that would be as cutting edge as his movie is. 3D was developed (which most of us can't even support with our current TVs and gaming machines) and many other fabulous effects that will set a new standard in gaming.

"I See You" is the theme song for Avatar...a beautiful love song.
This price is $2 cheaper than iTunes!
Avatar broke $1 billion dollar in ticket sales in just 17 days. Only 4 other movies have broken $1 billion dollars in ticket sales. The top movie to beat overall? The Titanic (which took 6 months to break $1 billion). However, only half the amount of people who saw the Titanic have seen Avatar....so far.
New Age Proponents will Love Avatar - "I see you" might replace Namaste
This movie talks about tuning into the energy that connects us all, revering life even when taking life, and mental telepathy. It has fabulous scenes of worship and healing. Everything on Pandora has bioluminescence...something our own DNA has well.
Answer to the question why did James Cameron make the Na'vi big and blue:
Because (and I'm not making this up) he didn't want to make them small and green!
The Art of Avatar - The beauty of Pandora
Stunning visuals in almost every frame of this movie which was 60% computer generated and 40% "real." Cameron experienced a type of lucid dreaming when he first "visualized" Pandora.
With over 100 exclusive full-color images including sketches, matte paintings, drawings, and film stills, The Art of Avatar reveals the process behind the creation of set designs for the imaginative vistas, unique landscapes, aerial battle scenes, bioluminescent nights, and fantastical creatures. Interviews with art directors, visual effects designers, animators, costume designers, and creature makers bring insight into this creative process. The Art of Avatar brings readers behind the scenes of this unprecedented moviegoing experience.
Techno Geeks will Love Avatar - Changing 3D movies forever
To make the film, Cameron used a new technology that enabled him to super-impose the computer-generated creatures onto his live actors while shooting. He said he wrote the project 14 years ago specifically to push the art of digital 3-D animation.
Would You Pay $15 at Imax to See Avatar in 3D?
James Cameron thinks $15 is cheap for the experience of seeing Avatar in 3D.
Two more sequels are planned with self-contained stories. Both Zoe Saldana (Neytiri) and Sam Worthington (Jake Sully) have signed on. I predict the trilogy will become bigger than Star Wars.
Comic Fans will love Avatar
The graphics feel like comics yet don't alienate "real" world folks
James Cameron went to Comic-Con to promote his movie in August before it's December release. The Na'vi world has a strange comic book quality about it yet doesn't have the "dead" faces that so many comic type animation has.
Last but not least...Romance Fans (Titanic Fans) are Going to Love Avatar! - James Cameron is a Geeky Romantic!
As much in love with technology as a good story, James Cameron gives us another fantastic love story in Avatar...and unlike Titanic it has a happy ending. I never thought I'd fall in love with a love scene played by animated characters but this movie out does itself. I am totally smitten! Twilight characters can't even kind of compare!
