Best Selling Acoustic Guitars for Small Hands

Seagull S6 Original Slim Guitar by Seagull is pricier but definitely worth it. It is made in North America. It offers better intonation by design.

The Seagull S6 Guitar is a slimmer and trimmer version of the Original Seagull S6 and it has a narrower neck and works well for even adults with small hands. The neck is hand finished and the sound quality is consistently reliable. It features a solid cedar top and a custom polished finish. The wood of the back and sides are of wild cherry, the neck of silver-leaf maple, and the fingerboard and bridge rosewood. As with alll Seagull guitars, this slim one features Tusq nuts and saddles too.

This guitar offers to a person with small hands a comfortable, slimmer than traditional 1.72" (4.37 cm) nut width. The combination of different wood gives this guitar a full, warm contoured sound. This instrument is a good choice and a good investment as it will sound even better as it is played more over time. You can find out more details below.

Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar for Small Hands Review:

If your budget is under $100, then THIS is the Choice.

Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar for Small Hands Review

Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar is amongst the best selling ones for small hands. I think that this is the best deal for small hands for the affordability and quality.

This beautiful guitar with a narrower neck features a Spruce Top with laminated back and sides and rosewood fret board. The hard wood top reassures you of good sound quality. It gives a rich tone. The sound is beautiful and warm.

For learners with small hands, it is important to check out the action. When you play, the action is not too high and thus this guitar is easy for a person with small hands to start with. The neck width and weight are also suitable for a person with small hands. For a young person, when the hands grow larger, this guitar will suit larger hands comfortably as well.

It is also a very easy instrument to play and keep in tune.

If your budget is below $100, you can still get a very good quality guitar - Jasmine S35. When deals are on, you can get a guitar bundle with the all you want accessories for a bit more of the price.

As you know, the main sound of the guitar comes from the Spruce top. Jasmine S35 features a Spruce top which looks and feels nice and guarantees good quality sounds. The BIG PLUS is this: Although the back and the sides of this guitar are made of wood which is not really mahogany but nato, a tropical wood, it plays a decent quality sound which is bold and rich. I like the rosewood fretboard.

You will like it if you have small hands as the length of this musical instrument is a bit smaller than a full dreadnought and its measurement is 18 x 8 x 48 inches.

When you have small hands, you must take the guitar neck into consideration. The wooden neck is smooth and slim and it also has a low action fret. The strings can be reached by small fingers. The bass and treble strings sound clear.

You will want to comfortably get to the action, which means being able to move your fingers across the distance between the fret-board and the strings. You should know that the action of this guitar is quite high, and that you should not mind it if you will get sore fingers as you will need to press the strings a bit harder. But as you get used to it and have formed finger calluses, which is part of learning to play the guitar I'm afraid, then it will be fine.

Just a Note to Consider

Just the Guitar is the best budget choice. When you decide between getting just the guitar or paying more for for a bundle, you will have to consider whether you need these 7 accessories which are worth an amount that you will pay less for in a bundle. These include: a gig bag, a clip-on tuner, a guitar capo for adjusting tension, a microfiber polish cloth, a steel guitar string set, a strap and a set of 10 guitar picks. In my opinion, you will need a gig bag for keeping the guitar from dust.

A Good Starter Pack for Guitar Beginners with Small Hands a BLUE Guitar for around US$40

38" Blue Acoustic Guitar Starter Package includes a guitar, a gig bag, a strap, a tuner, a pitch pipe, extra strings and translucent medium guitar pick.

The great plus is that the neck is made of sturdy enough wood and for small fingers the action on the strings is noticeably easy on your fingers.

This starter pack is ideal for a beginner on a tight budget. You will like its loud and bright ringing tone that projects clearly. This 38 inches in length steel string guitar has a wood frame. The brass and steel tuning pegs are great. They make tuning easier and keep the tuned strings in position. This deal pack comes in blue, natural color and black. I especially like the blue guitar. If you like blue, this one may be for you!

This beautiful 38" Acoustic Guitar set is ideal for the beginning student! The Acoustic Guitar has a loud and bright ringing tone that clearly projects to the listener. The steel string Guitar is perhaps the most versatile and common Guitar type and is featured in many different styles of music including Country, Jazz, and Rock. This steel string Guitar is 38 inches in length and has a wood frame. The Guitar also features linden binding and geared tuning.

However, for this price the wood used for the guitar body is light and has a fragile feel to it. You should be careful not to let it fall.

Yamaha Starter Pack Ideal for Guitar Beginners

If you are looking for a Yamaha, this slim guitar comes with Yamaha FG700S Folk Acoustic Guitar Bundle. The guitar has a solid sitka spruce top, nato back and sides; rosewood fingerboard and die-cast tuners. This package includes all quality items: Hard Case, Strap, Polish, Tuner, Strings, Picks, Capo, Winder and DVD.

You will like the full, rich tone and volume coming from the beautiful sturdy body. You will enjoy playing on the rosewood fingerboard. An electronic tuner grey multi-swivel Cherub WST-900 is included. It costs about 20 dollars if you are to pay for it separately. It works well by determining tune by either sound via mic or vibrations via computer chip. It easily attaches to the guitar head and it helps you quickly tune your instrument.

The quality of wood makes this guitar last and the great looking black guitar hardcase will help you keep the guitar in good condition. I must also mention that the case is a thoughtful design that you can keep all the accessories behind the guitar neck. The case has 4 brass clips, one with lock and key. The interior is a plush felt and foam coating that the guitar plus extras will fit in well.

A Sturdy Guitar Hanger to Display Your Guitar Can Save Space and Encourage More Practice

I feel that I should mention a little trick to result in more guitar practice. A simple, specially designed guitar hanger will only cost a few dollars and you get to save floor space, proudly display your guitar and be reminded to practice often.

A guitar hanger is made of real wood, sturdy, looks expensive and is easy to install. It is suitable for narrow or wide body instruments, from a mandolin to a 12-string guitar or a bass guitar. The brackets or forks can securely cradle the headstock of your instrument on the wall with protected brackets and won't mark the finish.

Instead of keeping the guitar in the corner of a room, I find that a guitar hanger is a simple and most practical option.

The installation is easy and will take about 10-15 minutes. The guitar hanger needs to be properly secured onto the wall. The required hardware 2 screws of 2 inches and 2 drywall anchors are included. You can secure it to drywall, or otherwise through drywall and into wall studs. If necessary, the brackets can be bent to fit a child's guitar.

One point to note is, as with all guitars, not to keep or hang it in humid atmosphere.

When the instrument is hung up nicely in plain sight and at easy reach, it'll make a nice piece of home decor and I'm sure you'll practice more!

This is great. My daughter wants to try guitar, but she's small and just nine years old. So I've been thinking about what she could play, as my full-size guitars are too large.

Some nice guitars. I have a collection of several, luckily (or otherwise) my hands are quite large and fit normal sized instruments. My favourite is my ovation, although I also have a Stratocaster which I am very fond of,
