Brett Eldredge's Bring You Back Album

Updated on October 15, 2013

Finally, finally, finally! Did I say finally? Yes, it has been a long time coming, but Brett Eldredge [finally] released his first country music album on August 6th. I couldn't be happier!

"Bring You Back" is nothing short of fantastic! It includes his #1 hit "Don't Ya" as well as the very first single he ever released (in 2010), "Raymond". But, there is so much more on the album.

Of the 12 songs included, Brett wrote/co-wrote 11 of them with the title song from the album being the only one he didn't.

He has a great mix of fun songs like "Tell Me Where to Park", "On and On" and "Gotta Get There" and "Signs" as well as some love and breakup songs like "Mean to Me", "One Mississippi", "Waited too Long", "Go On Without Me" and "Bring You Back".

His newest single release from the album is "Beat of the Music" and it definitely sets me toes to tapping!

In my opinion, the album has the 3 - E's --- Energetic, Engaging and Emotional -- everything I want from my music.

Is it a surprise? No, not to those of us that have been listening to him for years. Brett grew up in a rural, central Illinois town and began singing at a very early age. The older he got, the better he got.

We would all listen to him perform at weddings, school musicals, talent shows and such. There was just something about his voice that was almost mesmerizing. Deep and soulful -- it didn't matter what genre he sang, it all sounded fabulous.

Nothing has changed since those early days. In fact, if possible, I think he gets better and better. Have you listened to Brett Eldredge sing?

I have had the privilege of seeing Brett in concert twice in 4 months and my daughter has seen him 3 times during 4 months. We can't get enough!

I pre-ordered his album and recieved it the day before it's release. It's had a home in my car CD player since the day I got it. I haven't changed it once. I know all the words to all the songs and listen to it whether I am just making a quick juant to the store or an hours long car trip.

When I am sitting at my desk, writing (like I do most everyday), Brett's album plays on my android phone. From beginning to end or jumping around to match my mood to the music, I listen and appreciate his music.

He's also nominated for the CMA's New Artist of the Year. I'm crossing my fingers and toes he will win. He's got some stiff competition in the category but I hope the members of the academy hear in his voice and delivery what I heard years ago. If they do, he'll win!

If you haven't heard of Brett Eldredge or just haven't heard his songs, take a listen. He's worth it!

Don't Ya
Don't Ya

This is his single from the album that went to #1 on the Country Music charts. You'll find yourself singing along in no time.

This is the newest single from the album. Brett tells a story of seeing a girl on a boat as the inspiration for the song. It's a very catchy tune with a island feel.

Brett said the minute he heard this song, he knew he had to record it -- it touched him that deeply. I agree! What do you think?
