Celebs Botched Surgery

Updated on September 22, 2017

Botched Celebrity Plastic Surgery

I think that too many people are having work done on themselves, people should be happy with what god gave them. I don't believe in plastic surgery, unless someone has been disfigured. If you've been burned, ripped, turn it's perfectly natural to see what can be done to put yourself back the way you were. Celebrities take plastic surgery to an all time low. With so many of them going under the knife it makes sense that you would see more and more botched surgeries. I can understand being afraid of the aging process, but sometimes you just have to go with it and love yourself anyway. It is so sad when someone has a bad surgery and all you can say about them is they used to be so pretty.

This is my drawing of the Bride of Wildenstein, a once beautiful woman who for some reason wanted to look like a cat. I was kind to her in this drawing, because in her recent pictures you can see her eyes at all and I couldn't get her lips big enough.

Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff doesn't actually belong on this list. I'm just using her as an example of how careful we should be while getting work done. At the end of a concert she chipped her two front teeth, worried about getting the colors to match the dentist redid all her teeth. Well, he kind of botched it, her teeth were nice and white, but they were way to big for her small frame. She looked like she had horses teeth in her mouth. A few years later she was sporting a more natural smile. So be careful of who you go to or you might end up having the work redone like Hilary.

Most Wanted
Most Wanted

Her teeth problems did not just go away over night, on the day of her wedding, one of her teeth that had, had a root canal years before, actually fell out. She had to have emergency dental surgery.

She is a wife, mother and also an acclaimed writer.

Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey didn't have a bad surgery, but it was still a mistake just the same. She was in several big hits in the 1980s, but after her nose job people didn't know who she was. She had changed the look of her face too much and didn't look like the girl who was in dirty dancing. It took her years to get back in the acting game, once she took a job in the short lived sitcom where she played herself just so people would know who she was again.

The Road To Christmas [DVD]
The Road To Christmas [DVD]

On a personal note, she is now happily married to an unlikely action star and here is a Christmas movie, were they star together. Yes she's married to the leader of the marvels agents of s.h.i.e.l.d. They also have a 12 year old daughter together.

Courtney Love

What can I say about Courtney? There was a short time in the early 2000s when she cleaned up her act and stopped drinking and doing drugs and it showed on her face, she looked honestly pretty. It didn't last long and since her not so great plastic surgery it has only gotten worse. She can still pull it together and look okay, but only in the few moments when she's sober.

Michael Jackson

I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but Michael Jackson was a deeply troubled man, stemming from his lack of a childhood and the push to be famous by his family.

All I will say is that addictions like plastic surgery can be harmful to your health. Maybe he wouldn't have been on so many pills if he hadn't had so many bad plastic surgeries.

Burt Reynolds

I don't think men should get plastic surgery, they always end up looking like Burt Reynolds. Not the Burt Reynolds of his heyday, the one we have now. Men either look shocked all the time or like they're standing in a wind tunnel. The wind tunnel look is what Burt ended up with.

There was nothing wrong with his face before, he looked better to me older than he had in the 1970s and 80s. Vanity will be your demise if you don't learn to like what you see in the mirror.

Poor Kenny

He had been trying to improve himself for awhile even before for his plastic surgery nightmare. Singer Song writer Kenny Rogers was getting up there, but he managed to lose the pounds that he packed on throughout the years and he had to have his excess skin removed. The man should have stopped at the weight loss. However, he decided to get a little face lift. Now it doesn't even look like he can shut his eyes or blink.

Like I said it before, men should be men, don't get work done.

You Can't Make Old Friends
You Can't Make Old Friends

This is honestly what he looks like now. This is the cover of his newest album, which only came out late last year.

Carrot Top

Carrot Top was never very handsome or attractive at all, but there was a time he looked normal...well almost normal. With his eyebrows as high as they are now, he almost looks like a really ugly drag queen.

I almost feel he would look better if he shaved them off and had hair implanted lower giving him a more natural brow. Wait, I'm getting ahead of myself that is another surgery and would certainly go terribly wrong.

Tara Reid

Tara Reid is still a very pretty girl, luckily she didn't have any work done on her face. However she had a wardrobe mishap on the red carpet that let everyone see and take pictures of a recent bad boob job that she hadn't been able to fix at that time.

I'm sure she is all fixed now, however she did not learn from her mistakes. Later on she also had botched liposuction, a good surgeon would have told her that she was far to thin for lipo in the first place. In pictures at the beach you could see it in her skin, light ripples that shouldn't be there.

I wish her the best and hope that this will detour her from getting any further work done.

Tara Reid, since this picture was taken she has lost a drastic amount of weight, far too much for her already thin frame.

Mickey Rouke

Mickey Rouke was an actor in the 1980s. He was somewhat of a hunk, which is so hard to believe when you see him today. He quit acting and decided to go into boxing and wrestling, boy did he take a few hits to the face. He claims that he had to have a face lift because of the years abuse he received in the ring, even if that were true they went way to far.

Mickey now only gets jobs playing creepy cartoon-like villains

Mickey Rouke Signed the Wrestler Photo #2

I missed the whole heartthrob phase in Mickey's life, I actually first saw him as the villain in Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker. I wondered if there was something truly wrong with his face or if it was all make-up, too bad for him it's not.

Heidi Montag

I saved the worst for last. Heidi made her less than stellar rise to fame on the hills, but after a failing marriage and an even worse album, looked outwardly instead of inwardly. The truth is she used to be very naturally pretty. It was the kind of beauty that made other people jealous because she didn't have to work for it. After ten surgeries in one day, not only does she look like a vapid shallow sex-bot (Austen Powers Sex-bot), her head has gotten bigger. Maybe from swelling, maybe from her implants. This once lovely girl, doesn't look the same and will never be truly pretty again.

Now she can only get work, doing semi nude modeling gigs.

I wrote this a few years ago and it is still true today. However even Hollywood is admitting the problem they have with plastic surgery with the show Botched which just aired this year. I admit that the show is compelling and jarring. This reality show stars two plastic surgeons who work to correct botched surgeries. These surgeries range from simple to extremely hard to preform surgeries.

Celebs and regular people alike are their clients.

Each show has two corrective surgeries and the doctors refusing to do one surgery that is unneeded.

I agree with you on every one of these. Sad that's what they spend their money on especially when they were fine as they were.

I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me. About a year ago I my partner split up, we had both made BIG mistakes in our relationship. He ended up moving away from me to pursue a new life. I knew in my heart that he would be the only one to make me happy. I was relieved when I found your email on a site about what you have done. I requested 1 to 2 day casting of the reunite us love spell and within 3days mark company had relocated him back to our hometown where I still lived. We immediately reconnected and move in with each other. Our wedding date is set for Summer 2012. Expect to see your invite in the mail thanks to

With a title like this, I couldn't resist taking a look! Pretty sad when this sort of thing happens. Specially to people who depend on their looks to earn a living.

I especially can't understand women who get these boob jobs that make them look like they are going to tip ove forward. I'm in favor of large breasts (actually any normal sized breasts) but there is a limit as to what looks natural or unnatural.

I once considered having a facelift just to fix my aging neck, but I decided it was really not "me" and there were plenty of other things to spend my money on besides facial surgery. These case studies are really horrible - if the rich can't get a good job done, what about us? Faggedaboutdit.

Ummm, I hadn't really considered the comparison before, but I have to agree with SudokuNut, plastic surgery often does make the individual look like a Madame Tussaud waxwork. It is sad really. I guess everyone is trying to hold on to youth or at least the youthful look, but it sure can go seriously wrong. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

I read an interview recently with Kenny Rogers and he said that he wouldn't have any more plastic surgery because he now has two small children and he wouldn't risk his life just to look different. I think that's rare though, among celebrities, who seem to think more is better, regardless of the risks.

I personally wouldn't have cosmetic surgery. In some cases it's the right decision - certainly for those who've been disfigured by nature or accident. But celebrity vanity does show the results of excess or unnecessary "procedures" and it doesn't make your life happer (just ask Kate, mother of 8).

I don't care what anybody thinks about how I look. I did see a story yesterday about a young man who accidentally touched an electrical wire with the top of his head. His whole face was gone except a badly disfigured mouth. No eyes, no nose, it was so sad. He got a new face from a donor and though he'll never look like himself again, his little daughter told him he was so handsome now. That was a time when plastic surgery was actually necessary.

I just remember that when I was a teen, I wanted to have a lipo on the butt. But I didn't do it. I don't have the money.

I also remember that when I did burn my legs (It was a chemical burn. I accidentally spilled a chemical used to clean toilets when I was getting ready for college.) in the 1990s (It was a minor burn), I did go to a Plastic Surgeon. He was a good Plastic Surgeon because he told me to wait it out in the summer (It was spring when I went to him) and don't wear shorts. Those scars are faint to the point that no one notices.

But you are right, the people who should only get plastic surgery are burn victims, or whose body parts are disfigured.

Sad how people think they have to do this sort of thing to themselves in order for other people to like them. Even our quirky imperfections can make us loveable. Looking at ourselves in the mirror with a little sense of humour can help.
