What was your Favourite Morning Cartoon?

Updated on November 27, 2014

Saturday Morning Cartoons Were the Best!

Or maybe for you they were Sunday Morning Cartoons. Perhaps you watched Cartoons after school instead. Whenever you watched them, I bet that you loved them. I know I loved to get up on Saturday morning and race down the stairs to see the Transformers, Smurfs, Dungeons and Dragons and a host of other cartoons.

Was your favourite The Real Ghostbusters? Go-bots? Maybe you're from a newer generation and you like Pokemon and Sonic? Here's the place you can vote on your favourite cartoon, and perhaps be reminded of one long forgotten.

My Favourite Cartoons

Like everyone I had my favourites. I always loved to watch Battle of the Planets or G-Force, as my brother and I called it. We used to play G-Force together all the time. Luckily we never attempted a Whirl-Wind Pyramid. I have the feeling that would have ended badly.

I also loved Dungeons and Dragons. It was one of the best fantasy shows around at the time. The little unicorn I could have done without, but the rest of it was great.

The other ones that I watched regularly were The Smurfs, Dragon's Lair, Gummibears, Robotec, Scooby-Doo, The Real Ghostbusters, and Transformers.

I have to admit that as an adult I started watching Monster Rancher, Card Captors, Digimon and Yugi-Oh as well, and still do on occasion.

Remember these?

When I was a kid my favorite Saturday morning cartoon was, I think it was called, The Superman Aquaman hour. I was also really into DC comic books, which is why I liked that cartoon best.

When I was even younger, I probably liked Loony Tunes the best.

OMG! My sister and I raced to the tv every Saturday morning and watched our favorite cartoons in our jammies! My dad would run down to the baker and get each of us a strawberry iced cake doughnut and weâd drink a glass of ice cold milk. Heâd watch some cartoons with us and it was so much fun. Just us and dad all to ourselves! My daughter grew up on Cartoon Network and was horrified when I told her the only time we could watch cartoons was just on Saturday mornings only. LOL Thank you so much for this lens!!! So many good childhood memories leap back after thinking about Scooby Doo on this chilly Saturday morning. Good lens. . .

There used to be so many good cartoons on Saturday mornings when I was growing up in the 80s, it's hard to choose! The cartoons these days do not seem as good, and Saturday mornings are full of more infomercials than cartoons!
