WILL YOU MARRY ME!!! ...followed by ecstatic screams of joy, a flurry of activity, bridal shower, bachelor party, wedding day jitters and excitement, a euphoric honeymoon and the feeling that you really are in Heaven!

Fast forward 1, 2...5...10...25 or more years later: Crying babies, sleepless nights, rebellious teens, straying eyes (and you know what else), quarrels, more time spent away from home at work, with the boys or in 'man-bashing' sessions with girlfriends, little or no intimate moments anymore...you get the picture!

The movie 'Fireproof' exposes the reality of life after marriage, for Christians and non-Christians alike, and provides powerful insight into the simple but effective secrets of wooing back your spouse, restoring your marriage and building a fireproof marriage - one that can withstand the tests of time.

One of my favourite parts of the movie, is when Caleb (the husband in this movie, played by Kirk Cameron) learns the astonishing truth from his father of how his own parents' marriage was once 'on the rocks', as his own is now, and how it was saved.

As Kirk pours out his heart to his father about how unhappy he feels in his marriage during one of those father-son conversations, his father challenges him to take 'The Love Dare'.

I challenge YOU to watch this movie and take 'The love Dare' too! It's worth the while for every married couple who truly aspires towards a happy marriage.

Here's a sneak preview...

Reminders of our commitments and intentions are always helpful. I'm all for preserving marriages through growth and self examination. Sometimes our expectations go unmet because we've lost our communication stream.
