This here is about life and a day when men gave their hearts to women and women had it better than today.
This is about this song. That my daddy sang to me as a child and we had on old Wurlitzer and all us kids danced to along with "take me home whiskey".
Or you can find it here. Hit the road jack. I actually got to sing with this man. It was when I was seven. My daddy knew him and we jammed with hand to leg slappin and lip bugles and spoons and a riff on a table top. Whistling was easy and ooh ooh hahs were welcome.

Being a metal fan, the 70s is about as far back as I go in terms of musical eras:
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath (1970)
Judas Priest - Victim of Changes (1976)
Riot - Kick Down the Wall (1979)
Rush - 2112 (1976)
I too grew up with Black Sabbath, they lived within a couple of miles of me in Birmingham but over the years my musical appreciations have changed, i now like everything from country to dance music but i tend to play (guitar) more and more classical music (maybe because its more challenging) but the music of the rock bands of the 70's and 80's evokes an awful lot of nostalgia for me.
I'm a fan of a variety of music. Especially old time rock and roll. Only whiskey song I know and really like is an Irish song called Whiskey on a Sunday.
Gypsy, my pappy was a great coronet blower and he played this song in about 1930 in the Hollywood bowl with a guy he called Aimless, I thinks it might have been slang for Amos. But me and my siblings and momma and pappy used to gather round and sing this song. Old man trouble is our musical friend. http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/a/asle … iskey.html
Thanks for the song and lyrics Eric. I really enjoyed it.
Rasma, let it be the fabric of our lives.
I grew up with 60's and 70's rock.
High school was 80's heavy metal
Played in bands during the 90's grunge era
This stuff is the last stuff I have been able to dig.
My anthem

I wish someone would release some new quality rock/metal/thrash!
"No one else can see, the preservation of the martyr in me!"
Prayers answered:
Agent Steel - Wash the Planet Clean
Destruction - Nailed to the Cross
Vektor - Outer Isolation
Darkthrone - Leave No Cross Unturned
Manilla Road - The Battle of Bonchester Bridge
Orphaned Land - All is One
Overkill - Drop the Hammer Down
Powerwolf - Sanctified with Dynamite
Satan - Life Sentence
Symphony X - Iconoclast
Tarot - Follow the Blind
Wolf - Skull Crusher
Zelkiro, I just got through all of them. Thank you. That is a cool list. Now I have to fix my speakers ;-) It just sounds better loud.
Reality -- very good. thank you. Great phrases. The video not so much but it is well done. Isn't the lead vocal a paranormal expert like written books on it?
