What types of music do you like to listen to and why?
Depends on the occasion.
If I'm working I can't stop listening to Opera or Classical Music.
But if I'm driving its definitely Hip-Hop or House Music .
Incredible! And quite diverse. I am applauding you!
Neo soul
Grunge/indie
Classic 60s/70s
For substance, creativity, positive and food for thought lyrical content and the beat.
I like 'easy listening' music but 90's songs..never get bored of them..
Smooth Jazz. I like pop too, but jazz seems much more flexible. Suddenly it goes to another key and those spicy chords wont sound well in pop or a lot of other types of music. It helps me when I have to do stuff I really find no motivation to do. I just go to Jazz(dot)com and find "Smooth jazz 24/7" Press play and just hum along while my mind get caught in the song/piece while I have to do my hating tasks. You should try it or something else maybe. It's cool that it makes such a big difference in your attitude towards the thing you have to do.
Popular music from the early 20th Century -- Bing Crosby mostly, but also Arthur Tracy, Al Jolson, the Sons of the Pioneers, the Ink Spots, Billiie Holiday, Billy Eckstine, Hank Snow, Vera Lynn, Frank Sinatra -- and my daughter's Bluegrass songs with the Windy Ridge Band in Maine.
Why? Because it's enjoyable.

Does your music taste change depending on your mood?If I'm happy, I like happy music. I love The Beatles, for example. Then, when I'm feeling down, I like to listen to more acoustic music, like David Gray. It's not always the rule, because sometimes I can listen to absolutely anything, from one...
