    How to download or save streaming movies from Netflix?

    I simply am curious to find out if it is possible in any way to download or save streaming movies and videos from Netflix.
    Would like to save a couple of Netflix movies for later viewing on the laptop, since I want to watch them while traveling I won't have any internet connection to go online to watch movies or something like this.

    Any change of this being possible?

    you probably can't get good from doing it, but you can try a program like "cam studio", and record what being played on your screen. quality usually depends on your computer's resources.

    Yeap, unfortunately you can't actually download streaming movies and videos from your Netflix Watch Instantly subscription.

    These are only streaming movies to be watched online and anyways they surely must have some sort of protection on them that would prevent anyone to be able to download Netflix streaming movies.

    Dunno about the recording part though, never used such programs.

    Hmm I was almost 100 % sure that movies or videos or tv shows from Netflix Watch Instantly  are protected and that there's no way to save Netflix streams whatsoever.

    Although, if I come to think of it the screen recording idea might not be so bad as  a solution to this issue, though I have serious doubts that the quality in in good shape.

    It's screen recording after all so don't get your hopes too high on this solution.

    Screen recording to save Netflix streaming movies or videos?

    Hmm interesting, though it seems to me as well that screen recording Netflix movies or videos or anything in general is a bit unreliable.

    Or at least it seems to me to be this way, I mean it's gotta be a pretty fast and powerful screen recorder to actually capture Netflix streams in real time and without any lags.

    Use Cam studio to record and save Netflix streaming movies while they play?

    Not so sure about the quality of the recordings you would get after you capture and record streaming movies and tv shows from Netflix Watch Instantly while they play online with this one

    Of course depends greatly on the resources of you computer but still, you would need something more advanced to be able to record or capture Netflix Streams and get some watchable recordings.

    If you are on a mac there are quite a couple of solutions that can help you capture or record and save Netflix video streams since it's not possible on the macs either to actually be able to download streaming movies from Netflix directly.

    Anyhow, you can look up on google for how to record capture Netflix movies on mac to find some piece of software for the job.

    As a matter of fact, here's some suggestion for you that might be useful to find a good way to capture Netflix streams:

    Actually, plenty of those screen recorders for windows pcs round google as well.

    Of course not all of them are suitable to be used to capture, record and save streaming movies or tv shows from Netflix Watch Instantly but anyhow that does not mean that you cannot try at least 3 or 4 screen capture programs for windows pcs.

    Probably should look for some that are specifically mentioned to be able to record and download Netflix streams to get to the bottom of this little problem of yours.

    Worth a shot, definitely.

    Guess I can also help you solve this problem you're having with how to save Netflix video streams.

    Indeed, plain screen recorders don't work right to capture Netflix streaming videos while they play, probably not able to record and sync in real time or something like this.

    I for one solved my problem with some Audials piece of software, been using it since last year to record and save streaming movies, videos and tv shows from Netflix, for later watching when I am away from home or something similar.

    Easy to use and fast, the recorded Netflix videos are in great quality plus you can convert them to whatever file format you need for any of your devices.

    There's some guide on how to use it to save Netflix movies, suppose it's gonna be helpful:

    Hope I as at least a bit helpful.

    Hmm,cool so it's possible after all to save streaming movies and tv shows from Netflix subscription.

    Thanks for the good tips guys, guess it does not matter if I download Netflix streams or just record streaming movies from Netflix, just as long as I get the job done.

    So recording Netflix streams route it is, although I need some Netflix recorder or whatever these are called that works on windows since I don't have a mac.

    @pyrotics

    Thanks for the tip on that recording piece of software, it's a good find.

    @edwardscissors

    Cool, thanks you for your tip on the audials program u mentioned, gonna check it out as well and see how it works to record movies or videos from Netflix.
