The Sound of Music because I enjoyed the story more than that of The King and I.  The King and I had one or two songs I liked The Sound of Music had more great music.

The King and I - as a child I performed in this musical with a local theatre group and thoroughly loved it.
I was one of the children of the King (he had loads) and had some solo work but mostly joined with the others for songs. Great melodies, great romantic story and fabulous costumes. Etc etc etc!
In the original movie Yul Bryner was a fantastic King of Siam - strong, strict but willing to learn! Just.
Deborah Kerr I think played Anne the English teacher who falls for the monarch but is reluctant to commit herself. All in all a perfect musical.

The Sound of Music. It has more songs that I love to sing along with.

definitely 'the Sound of Music' I know all the songs and most of the script, so to watch it with me is a pain as I join in with the lot(!). Going to see that film when it first came out ( getting on for 50 years ago - oh my)- with my Granny was one of the last happy things we did with her before she died, so it holds a lot of happy family memories too. I still love it even after all these years
