Funny Silly Faces

Updated on January 28, 2015

Faces That Look Funny To Me.

This lens is dedicated to all those funny faces out there. We have all seen them. I know they say it isn't polite to stare. But, what can you do? I am not complaining; they are entertaining. Sometimes it is the "high lite" of my day. I am a people watcher and maybe that is why I notice them. It can start with the hair, maybe the lips, maybe the eyes but usually it is the whole face. Most likely an expression.

Babies are probably the most fun to watch. They go with whatever the body tells them to do. Sometimes they stare at you, like, you're their "funny face". Other times they just want to laugh and laugh. Jonathan Winters was always one of my favorite funny faces. Lucy of I Love Lucy is another. And then there is those sad, dropy faces - you know the grumpy people. You see them standing in the supermarket lines, DMV lines (can't blame them), and just about any line.

Then you have your grinners. Do you think they do it because it helps with the situation they are experiencing. Do most of us know we are grining? I wonder.

But it's not only people. What about fruit and vegetables? Oh yes, they have feelings too. Fruit and vegetable faces are fun. You can laugh at them and then eat them.

What Does Mental Illness and Funny Faces Have In Common?

Decoding Funny Faces To Detect Mental Illness

ScienceDaily (Feb. 12, 2009) - Like Russell Crowe's character in A Beautiful Mind, life is often difficult for the 2.4 million Americans with schizophrenia. A late or incorrect diagnosis and the lack of effective treatment options can destroy a sufferer's quality of life.

Schizophrenia usually emerges between the ages of 18 and 30, but diagnosis before the disease manifests could be the key to developing more successful treatments, says Prof. Talma Hendler of Tel Aviv University's Department of Psychology.
