Happy Happy Happy - The Life and Liberty of the Duck Commander
If you are a fan of Duck Dynasty, then Phil Robertson needs no introduction. As a key and pivotal member in the hit reality show, he is the matriarch and leader of America’s favorite family. And yet, even if you are a fan of Duck Dynasty, do you really know who the bearded man known as the Duck Commander really is?
Quick with wit and an ever calm demeanor, Phil Robertson represents a stoic man of the woods, with a strong ethical resolve and a an even cooler demeanor towards family values. Stoic to some and archaic to others, Phil Robertson is a man of little worlds, but who truly knows who he is and where "Happiness" comes from.
Whether you agree with his belief in God, family or hunting, you can't help but respect a man who stands by his values, knows who he is, and strives, in his own, to better those around him.
"Happy, Happy, Happy" is Phil Robertson's story about his life, and how he came to be the Duck Commander.
A Devotional for Anyone Trying to Define Themselves
Phil Robertson's autobiography recounts how a poor young boy of the woods, brought himself into greatness. How with no money, he not only became a football quarterback star (with Terry Bradshaw as his backup), but went on to define himself as a man, galvanized his family and became the Duck Commander.
I, personally, am not a hunter and would probably be called a "Yuppy" by Phil's standards, but to me, this book read like a devotional. Inside of these very pages, you find Phil's secret to being truly Happy and that starts with knowing who you are and living your dream.
The natural progression of Phil's life, serves to give hope and admiration towards finding your happiness in who you are. It is not about trying to get you to become Phil Robertson but to find yourself, and love who you are. Don't let someone else tell you what should make you happy.
Those Who Need to Read this book......
Of course any fan of Duck Dynasty would enjoy this book, however, I truly recommend it to those who are struggling with their own identity and those who are trying to define themselves. I will be giving a copy of this book to friends and family who are in the process of growing up, becoming a man or just seem as though they don't know where they belong.
Phil Robertson is an example of how you can be who you are and still achieve greatness. But that greatness comes from "you" and not from trying to be someone else.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. It is a must read.
And Now a Word From the Man Himself.....
If you found this book interested you, or you have read it already and enjoyed it, then you would probably be interested in these other fine Duck Dynasty products.
