Here Comes the Boom Soundtrack List Features Neil Diamond (NSFW Remix) of Holly Holy Featuring Ultralove
Score by Rupert Gregson-Williams
Grammy award winning producer David Foster has claimed if he and Oprah had a love child that it would be Filipino singer & Glee star Charice who sings a cover version of Neil Diamond's "Holly Holy" on the upcoming Here Comes the Boom Soundtrack on a track produced by composer Rupert Gregson-Williams who is also producing the movie's score.
In a pivotal scene with James entering the boxing arena, Charice is seen crooning in a fan section with the entire school band. The song stars off in its characteristic slow, gospel opening and builds in excitement and encouragement as their beloved teacher bravely makes his way to the ring. By the time Kevin James takes off his shirt, Charice is singing full force channeling her inner Whitney Houston and throwing down like Beyonce at a Super Bowl Halftime show.
If you like this song, also check out her powerhouse lungs on "As Long as You're There" from her singing as Sunshine Corazon on Glee singing on the season finale in 2011 available on Glee: The Music Volume 6. It's also a popular line dance song with a dance choroegraphed by award winning choreographer Rachael McEnaney called "Gleefully There".
But the version of the song that's got everyone buzzing is the remix version of Neil Diamond's "Holly Holy" featuring Ultralove that serves as Kevin James' fighting anthem in Here Comes the Boom. The other popular favorite off the soundtrack is "Boom", a hit in 2001 by P.O.D. otherwise known as Payable on Death.
Other artists on the music soundtrack for the Kevin James helmed Here Comes the Boom O.S.T. include Wolfmother with "Joker and the Thief", Stemm's "Face the Pain 2012", P.O.D. "Boom", Jimmy Bo Horne with "Spank", L.A. Style and the 12" remix of "James Brown is Dead", Refused with "New Noise", "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack, "Doing it Right" Steve Azar and "Bouncing Off the Ceiling" by A*Teens.
Here Comes the Boom, a Happy Madison Production stars Kevin James, Salma Hayek & Henry Winkler. If you think Kevin James is hilarious or love Mixed Martial Arts, then it's a fun movie worth checking out. James trained for over a year to get into shape and lost a bit of weight while getting fit. Hayek, who is frequently featured in many of Adam Sandler productions did not have to undergo such rigorous physical preparations for her role as the school nurse and love interest in the movie and instead we get to enjoy the curvaceous latin beauty in all her glory and not as a stick thin athlete.
The former star of the now syndicated television series King of Queens, Kevin James plays a high school science teacher who turns to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) so he can use the prize money to keep after school activities from being on the chopping block. Released by Columbia Pictures & Sony Pictures on October 12, 2012, Here Comes the Boom is now available on Blu-Ray / DVD, released February 5, 2013.
Look for Kevin James to be reunited with some of his favorite co-stars in the upcoming summer release Grown Ups 2 starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock & David Spade along with his Here Comes the Boom co-star Salma Hayek who's cast as Roxanne Chase-Feder. Also look for Taylor Lautner, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi, Maya Rudolph & long-time Sandler collaborator, writer/comedian Nick Swardson. The sequel to Grown Ups is being released July 12th, 2013.

If you haven't seen Here Comes the Boom yet, this is a great clip to check out, especially since it features The Fonz, Henry Winkler and he still has longish hair, only its white and grey but he still oozes cool as he urges on Kevin James' character to fight the good fight.
The mark of a great song is one that endures and it's hard to believe this timeless Neil Diamond classic was written in the 1960s. Here, Charice puts a lovely spin on the much beloved song.
