Johnny Cash

Updated on July 27, 2014

The Men In Black Johnny Cash

I love Johnny Cash and for that I have my father to thank for. I remember sitting in the back seat of the car on our way to my grandparents house every weekend and listening to Walk The Line and many other of his hits. My father have a very impeccable taste in music, from Johnny Cash, John Denver to Neil Diamond. I learn from a very early age to love and appreciate "oldies" music. In fact, 95% of music that I have today is from the 50's and 60's, I just really enjoy that music.

Johnny Cash is one of my fathers favorite, and I grew up listening all his songs. When the movie Walk The Line came out, It brought me back to those great moments of my childhood. The movie was unbelievable. It capture the essences of Johnny Cash and June Carter's love, and also the hard times that Johnny Cash went through for some time in his life.

Johnny Cash Forever!

“I'd like to wear a rainbow every day, and tell the world that everything is o.k. But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back. Until things are brighter, I'm the Man in Black.”

There were many hard times in Johnny Cash's life. Because of his drug abuse, his life began to deteriorated and his career spiraling down. He was arrested while on tour in 1965 in El Paso, Texas. The officers suspected that he was smuggling heroin from Mexico, but it was prescription narcotics and amphetamines that the singer had hidden inside his guitar case.

this may sound odd but I was introduced to Johnny by Adam Lambert. I love his cover, but Cash's original really grew on me, and the rest is history. Awesome lens!

I really liked the Johnny Cash and June Carter - A True Love Story video, I'm not very familiar with his work because I don't listen to a lot of country but I think it's sad that he died of diabetes. I'm just glad it's not a nut case who shot him like John Lennon from the Beatles and then lived by going to prison.

I'm contacting all Johnny Cash fans to let them know I'm auctioning some Rare Test Pressing Acetates from Cash. These are one of a kind and great collectibles. Here's the link for the auction or you can just go to ebay and do a manual search for them.

Thanks for your time and have a good one.

Beautiful lens filled with Johnny Cash, both the good and the bad. Very well done. I love his music even though I'm not a fan of country music in general.

I'm not a country music fan. But Johnny Cash was not your typical country singer. I liked his songs and his attitude. Nice work.
