Jordana Spiro - 'The Mob Doctor' Actress
Born in New York in 1977, Jordana Spiro is an television and film actress. Jordana studied acting in New York and Los Angeles, and also briefly attended the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England. Currently, Jordana Spiro stars in the popular series The Mob Doctor, which airs on the Fox Television Network.

Brief Spiro Bio
Jordana Spiro was born and raised in Manhattan. She was raised in a Jewish family and has a brother and three sisters. Spiro studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre school and attended (for a short time) the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In fall 2009, she began the MFA Program in Filmmaking at Columbia University. Spiro currently splits her time between New York and Los Angeles.
Spiro can be seen in the TBS original comedy series My Boys. She plays the role of P.J., a twenty-something "guy's girl," a sports reporter who tries to find romance within her world dominated by male friends. The role earned Spiro a Ewwy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2009. The series recently wrapped its third season on TBS.
Spiro also appeared in the 2009 comedy The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard alongside Jeremy Piven, Ed Helms and Rob Riggle, and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The Goods was directed by Neal Brennan.
Additional credits include "The Year of Getting to Know Us", which premiered at the 2008 Sundance film festival, IFC's "Alone with Her", as well as guest appearances on "Cold Case', "Out of Practice", and "CSI: New York.
Spiro was supposed to star in the upcoming television series Love Bites, but she fell out of the role in June 2010 and it is unknown if the role of Frannie will be recast .

'My Boys' Background
My Boys is an American television sitcom that debuted on November 28, 2006, on TBS. The show deals with a female sports columnist in Chicago and the men in her life including her brother and her best friend.
PJ Franklin (Jordana Spiro) is a professional sportswriter looking for love within her world, which is dominated by her group of male friends. Her "boys" are her family, which sometimes hinders PJ's dating life, as the men she tries to date don't know how to react to her unconventional interests and the all-important men in her life.
Her tomboyish, upfront approach to relationships tends to intimidate potential suitors, which leads her only female friend to advise her to dress and act more feminine. Being "one of the guys" can mean a lot of great things: poker games, pick-up softball games, watching sports or just hanging out at a favorite bar. But for PJ being a girl who's one of the guys can be challenging.
During the first season, many of the episodes involved some of the characters going to match.com, a sponsor of the show, that is often referenced in conversation on the show. The first season seemed to end with a cliffhanger on December 28, 2006. The episode "The Promise of a New Season" aired July 30 and was originally billed as the beginning of the second season.
