Just The Facts

Just The Facts and Nothing More

Many of you will remember the popular TV show, Dragnet, staring Jack Webb. He was well know, during the show, to have made the statement, during an interview about a case, "Just the Facts Ma'am, Just the Facts". Do you ever wonder, if what you believe is the facts, really is the facts? My lens topic just came to me one evening and I wondered what could I find on the topic. There is lots out in the information world. The hardest thing is deciphering what is true fact and what is not.

Many time, when something important is passed around via e-mail, you will find the sender has stated he checked it out with This organization is suppose to be the guru of "knowing if it is true". At least we have some source to take things to .

Recently Glenn Beck of Fox News, has centered his program around "the facts" regarding the Obama Administration and the new branches growing off that administration. Beck says we need to question with "boldness" what is happening in Washington. We need to ask questions, expect answers. We need to know the facts to such questions as: Can we survive the debt our country is developing? Who is writing all those bills? Will the bills be read before they are signed? What is the urgency? Who are these czars? Does Washington know that Van Jones the green czar, is a devowed Communist? These seems reasonable and fair questions to try and establish the facts.

My hope is that my lens will encourage people to question more and look for the facts as much as possible, and maybe while doing so, have some fun along the way. JUST REMEMBER, I REPORT, YOU DECIDE.

Science & Facts

Science means knowledge, and true science always agrees with the observable evidence. Scientific research continues to unfold the wonders and mysteries of our universe. Interestingly, there is one book that has anticipated many of these scientific facts. 101 Scientufuc /facts

I am very suspicious of these folks only because they seem to be bending a little to far to the left for me. I am a realist. Neither the left or the right could be right all the time. Tread softly here. Fact Check They say they have the answers. Here is what they said:

Q: What type of health insurance do members of Congress receive? Is it a single-payer, government-run system?

A: Members of Congress are covered by private insurance under the same system that covers all federal workers.

The meatball, weighing in at 49.5 kg, or 109 lbs., was cooked up by the chefs at The Ritz Carlton in Cancn, Mexico, to promote the upcoming animated film, in which a budding inventor causes food to fall from the sky like rain. The Hotel's Executive chef Rainer Zinngrebe along with banquet chef Aldo Novoa accomplished the appetizing feat, surpassing a previous record set in 2008 that stood at 32.93 kg, or 72 lbs., 9 oz. The new record was confirmed by Martinez, and after the record was confirmed, the meatball was cut up into normal-sized portions and served to everyone at the record-setting event.
