Katy Perry: Part of Me Soundtrack List Features Songs Wide Awake & Part of Me From Movie

Updated on July 26, 2013

Documentary About California Dreams Tour

Katy Perry sans mascara and without husband Russell Brand are all fodder for this musical reality documentary taking us behind the scenes on her mega successful California Dreams Tour revealing Perry's backstory and her hard fought persistent rise to fame.

It's unclear whether a separate Katy Perry: Part of Me Soundtrack will be released to coincide with the movie's release or if the re-released, repackaged double platinum album Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection will have to suffice.

Here is what we know so far that will be showing up for sure in the movie. Already the song Part of Me has shot to number one in 2012 and Wide Awake which was recently released hopes for similar Billboard charting success.

Music editor for this Katy Perry movie is Kevin McKeever who worked as the music mixer for Katherine Heigl's One for the Money & Prom while serving as the music editor for the 2011 release of Footloose and the 2011 Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never.

The composer of the score for the Katy Perry: Part of Me O.S.T. is Deborah Lurie also worked on the Never Say Never & Footloose in addition to producing additional music for The Dictator.

Katy Perry's Part of Me Movie was released in time to celebrate Independence Day, in theaters July 5, 2012 in the U.S., UK & Ireland with a preliminary international release on June 28, 2012 down under in New Zealand and in Australia on July 2, 2012.

L.A. Rehearsals - Katy Perry Behind the Scenes

When you see footage of Katy Perry without make-up, it's hard to believe it's the same glamour girl. In fact, if I passed her on the street, she would probably be unrecognizable.

Katy Perry's Sister - Angela Hudson

In this video interview clip with Katy's sister, Angela Hudson talks about how she and her sister had a pact that when Katy made it big that she would work on tour with her. Perhaps one of the reasons Katy seems so grounded is that her sister tries to plan some sort of adventure or something to explore anytime they have a day off in a city.

I kind of want to see this movie, but not 100 percent sure yet. I like Katy Perry, and love her style. I really like the poster for the movie.
