My Korean Drama List

Updated on May 20, 2013

Even though Korean Drama has been sweeping around the world in the past decade, however, I must admit that I only started watching and got addicted to Korean Drama last year. I decided to create my own lists of Korean Drama which I have watched.

Most of the list of Korean Drama below are mostly the latest Korean Drama. I have heard many rave reviews about Winter Sonata, Autumn in My Heart, Coffee Prince and Mary stayed out all night. I'm thinking of spending time during this year's Christmas holiday to catch up with these dramas as well.

My Encounter with Korean Drama

It all began when my friend suggested Dae Jang Geum, a Korean Sageuk / Traditional drama about cooking, medicine and one girl's tough journey to rise up and becoming the first female physician in that era.

Straight after watching Jang Geum, I watched Dong Yi, which is another Korean Sageuk drama but this drama evolves the story about an ordinary girl who enters the palace, falls in love with King Sukjong and gave birth to a son who later on becomes King Yeongjo, the 21st King of Joseon Dynasty.

Because I really love Han Hyo Joo and Bae Soo Bin playing their roles in Dong Yi, I decided to look for their other drama and found out that they both played in Brilliant Legacy / Shining Inheritance. Brilliant Legacy is truly a great family drama and soon after I've fallen in love with their four main casts, Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Woon and Bae Soo Bin.

Soon after, I discovered that Lee Seung Gi is the permanent cast member of Korea's variety show, 1Night 2Days. This variety show left me with a deep impression about Korean beauty and I really hope I can visit Korea sometimes next year to discover its beauty with my own eyes.

Besides watching variety show, now I begin to follow Korean Drama passionately and have started to watch it live even though I barely understand it. :D Thankfully, while watching it live, there are few people who share the storyline in forums & twitter which have helped me a lot to understand the story.

List of Korean Drama that I've watched

An amazing journey of little Jang Geum who initially entered the palace to learn to be the highest kitchen lady, but her tenacity and positive outlook towards life making her branched out into learning medicine.

As she tried to uncover the truth, King Sukjong fallen in love with her and she gave birth to a son who became the 21st King of Joseon Dynasty.

However, as she is not a person who wanted power, she decided that she didn't want to become Queen.
