Led Zeppelin::::The history of the musical group and there amazing music

This is a lens write up for the rock band Led Zeppelin. the information on the group will be of breverance and to the point and there will be interesting information I post on this wall. I will be planning to build another squidoo for Led Zeppelin that will be a full write up of there history which will be a book on the band. Hope you enjoy this one as well......

Lead Balloon, Air Balloon, Air Zeppelin......Lead Zeppelin and lets take the letter A out of it and call it..... Led Zeppelin. The band formed in 1968 from the debris of what was left of the innovative shattered hard Rock band The Yardbirds, a musical group that spawned the careers of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, 3 guitar knights whom wielded there axes in the band ...

Swan Song

The night was July 7 1968 when the Yardbirds sang there last Swan Song at Lutin Technical college in Bedfordshire, England after Keith Relf and Jim McCarty decided they were finished with the group.

A new band

Jimmy Page was given rights to the bands name and there was still contracted shows to do. So Jimmy Page left to himself was friends with another session player by name of John Paul Jones whom cofunctioned with The Shadows, Rolling Stones, Tom Jones and numerous other musical groups. The two musicians backed Donovan on the Hurdy Gurdy LP while confabulating perhaps a new group?

Singer Terry Reid heard of Jimmy Page's plans and mentioned a vocalist by the name of Robert Plant. Page went to go see the new singer and immediately thought his voice and stage character were superb. Plant thinking of musicians suggested a friend who went by the name John Bonham who played drums from his previous Birmingham group The Band of Joy.

Hard Rock

The chemistry between all 4 members was solid and they began to plan a Scandinavian tour billed as the New Yardbirds during the month of October in the year of 1968.

After many moons, the year 1969 came rolling around and the band changed there name to led Zeppelin, went into studio, put down music tracks and released their first self-titled album. In only 2 months the record cracked the Billboard top ten chart.

The album is a new sound of power and extremely catchy guitar riffs. Basic Blues with Hard rock, folk and intricate multiple music styles of riffs of power and hooks from all genres of music. Mixed acoustic and electric.

Led Zeppelin were the prototype for all rock bands even up to our present day, everyone likes Led Zeppelin. All there albums after had this exact ingredient and had progressive and new things in music, innovation and recording techniques done by Jimmy Page made the band fantastic and brilliant sounding.

Top Notch Musicians

All 4 members are Gods in their own right. Jimmy Page, Melodic hooks, light and shade, rock n roll, improvised jamming, challenging runs, mystical writer. John Paul Jones, another melodic hook writer with an awesome understanding of arrangement and listenability with keyboards and bass to boot. Robert Plant with sensitivity to vocals and how he put his all into the rhythm, loudness and melody of singing. John Bonham proving himself every time he got behind a drum kit and having a fast 1 foot drum kick with original drum beats and fast solos, he was the canon of the group, the guns so to speak.

Led Zeppelin broke box office records and was the top rock band in the world. To this day they are the second best selling music group in history at over 200 million record sales or as some sources say over 300 million records sold only behind The Beatles. Not all groups who sell a lot of records are that good but Led Zeppelin is that good and fortunately so because there is so many great bands that aren't even known and thank God that Zeppelin has blasted through this.

Dazed and Confused lyrics

"Dazed And Confused"

Been Dazed and Confused for so long it's not true.

Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.

Lots of people talk and few of them know,

soul of a woman was created below.

You hurt and abuse tellin' all of your lies.

Run around sweet baby, Lord how they hypnotize.

Sweet little baby, I don't know where you've been.

Gonna love you baby, here I come again.

Every day I work so hard, bringin' home my hard earned pay

Try to love you baby, but you push me away.

Don't know where you're goin', only know just where you've been,

Sweet little baby, I want you again.

Been dazed and confused for so long, it's not true.

Wanted a woman, never bargained for you.

Take it easy baby, let them say what they will.

Will your tongue wag so much when I send you the bill?
