License To Drive- The Best of the Two Coreys

Updated on July 22, 2014

Please take me back

to the 1980's when the movies were hot and the two Coreys were the best teenage movie team ever. Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, two of my favorite actors star in License to Drive, a classic 80's teen movie that will have you laughing your socks off. The story revolves around Les (Corey Haim) who cannot seem to pass the driver's exam to get his license. Embarrassed, he leads family and friends to believe that he did indeed get his license. Things start to get crazy when Les takes his Grand-father's prized car out for a night on the town with the girl of his dreams.

I love the wonderful cast of characters in License To Drive. Corey Feldman is hilarious as friend, Dean and the chemistry between the Coreys is superb as usual. Heather Graham appears in one of her early roles as the date Les is willing to drive around without a license. My favorite characters are Les's parents. Carol Kane cracks me up as a very pregnant Mom with a quirky personality. Richard Masur is just as funny as the attentive husband and irritated father, but somehow he manages to hold the family together. Some of the funniest scenes in the movie include these two talented actors.

I watched this movie when it was released in the late 1980's and I still think it's one of the funniest and enjoyable films of its' time. It's a great movie to watch with the family and teens especially will get a kick out of the story line.

I love both Coreys equally. I had a poster for this movie in my dorm room.
